Prayer is always offered in various circumstances, whether before, during, or after prayer, before leaving the house, before studying, until before and after meals and when entering the bathroom. Prayer becomes so attached to us, more and more simple prayers we have memorized from childhood.

As with other worship, praying also needs to know the order, its ethics, and its virtue, in order to increase the faith and the proximity of a Muslim to his Lord. Allah has many commandments to pray many to His servants.

The cleric explains the various prayers and occasions in various books. Prayer and procedure are certainly taken and abstracted from their understanding of the sources of hadith and Al-Quran, as well as the previous scholars amaliah. One of the authors of the book that contains a collection of prayers, wiridan, and praying ethics is Sheikh Muhammad bin Alwi Al-Maliki in his work, Abwabul Faraj.

As a specially crafted book containing daily prayers and practices that can be applied daily, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Maliki opens the account of this book with the importance of observing the ethics of prayer. The prayer that is attended to will add more to the perfection of the prayer and increase the value of goodness. According to him, there are at least ten things that should be noted when someone prays. Ten things are

1. Pray at the prime times. It is said that the prayers of special moments such as the day of'Arafah, the Friday, the days of the month of Ramadan, and the time of the last third of the night after the evening prayer, are the time to obtain the virtue, as many of his propositions contained in the hadith of the Prophet.

2. Pray in the preferred circumstances. This situation can arrive at any time, such as when it rains, before and after the fardhu prayer in the mosque, ahead of iqamat, between two Friday sermons, or at the moment of prostration. If the first one mentions the times that have been privileged by the texts, then these circumstances are a moment that is easy to find everyday.

3. If possible, pray towards the Qiblah, while lifting both hands, then wiping face after prayer. In the hadith mentioned that narrated Abdullah bin Abbas RA, that when praying the Prophet looked up to the sky, then raised both hands until his armpits raised.

4. Decrease the sound, not too loud or just mumbled in the heart. Reading this oral prayer adds to our oral glory and kindness.

5. Do not focus too much on the beauty of language and prayer rhymes. Praying with easy and common prayer is practiced, rather than being overly confused by the beauty of the language of prayer but ignoring its substance. It is recommended to use more easily memorized prayers.

6. Humble, calm, accompanied by the glory of God with hope in Him.

7. Should the prayer be perpetuated as a routine, again always believed to be excited by God.

8. Be genuine in begging, if necessary repeat it three times. Less beautiful when praying, but instead ask to be suspended.

9. Start the prayer by reciting the name of Allah, both with dhikr, continued thanks to Allah, then reciting the Prophet's prayer. Do not rush to start praying with a petition.

10. Always repent, avoid tyranny, and accept God's presence sincerely. This is the key to taqarrub, the closeness of a servant to God and a central thing in the supplication of a prayer.

Such are the ten prayers composed by Sheikh Muhammad bin Alwi Al-Maliki in Abwabul Faraj. Hopefully this prayer ethic can be easily we try to live everyday so that become the perfect of our worship, and be wasilah to bring us closer to Allah. You know.
