MUI Supports Community Organization Confirmation and Asks Moslems Not to Follow GNPF-MUI Demo Action
Themoderatemuslims.blogspot.co.id - Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) KH Ma'ruf Amin asked Muslims not to participate in the rally against the Perppu No. 2 of 2017 on mass organizations, on Friday (07/28/2017) tomorrow.
"MUI thinks there is no need for demo, MUI also asks people not to be provoked, enggak have to come," said Kiai Ma'ruf, at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (27/7/2017).
MUI supports the issuance of Perppu 2/2017.
Ma'ruf said that anti-Pancasila mass organizations should be dissolved.
He considered, the government has the authority to keep the state base from the threat. Moreover, the issuance of the Perppu has been in accordance with the rules and regulations.
"There is already a mechanism that the government is entitled under the law to make the Perppu and the Perppu will be tested by the House of Representatives, so it's just a journey, no pressure from any side," said Kiai Ma'ruf.
If there is any objection to the Perppu, he advises to take legal action.
One of them, through a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK).
The rally was initiated by the National Movement of Fatwa Guards of the Indonesian Ulema Council (GNPF-MUI) which is planned to start from the Istiqlal Mosque of Jakarta to the Presidential Palace on Friday tomorrow.
