These 7 MUI Objection Points Related to the GNPF Action that Always Carries MUI

Themoderatemuslims.blogspot.co.id - The Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) appealed for the action of 287, which rejected the Public Order Orders, was not carried out. MUI also re-objected to the use of its name by the National Movement of Fatwa Guards (GNPF).

The statement was signed by the Chairman of the Information Division of MUI Masduki Baidlowi and Wasekjen Misbahul Ulum, July 28, 2017. Here are 7 points of complete MUI statement:

1. There is no relationship whatsoever, politically or structurally, between the MUI and any mass action or movement, including the GNPF, which rejects Perppu No. 2 of 2017 on CSOs. MUI's attitude is clear that the public should not worry about the Perppu as long as the organization or institution is committed and consistent to Pancasila and NKRI.

2. MUI objects to movements or institutions that label or associate MUI institutions into their actions or activities illegally and beyond MUI's knowledge. Such behavior could potentially create a sheepfight between ulama, umara, and umma, and create the disharmony of national and state life.

3. GNPF is not an organ or institution within MUI's auspices. However, as a consequence of democracy, the GNPF is welcome to express its own attitudes and opinions on any matter by not labeling and associating it with MUI institutions, much less beyond MUI's knowledge.

4. The MUI appeals to the GNPF and other elements of society to seek a priority solution to prioritize dialogue and deliberation rather than mobilizing the masses on the streets.

5. MUI reminds the public that only MUI has the authority to publish and socialize its fatwas. MUI is not in the realm of efforts to escort fatwas at the mass level. Therefore, MUI ask GNPF not continue to carry MUI extend towards politically sensitive and potentially pitting among scholars, umara, and people.

6. MUI urged all elements of society continue to enhance harmonious relationships, dialogue, akhlakul karimah between scholars, umara, and people. Similarly, in the effort to solve the problem of nationality should prioritize the ways of intellect, conscience, and constitutional. Not with agitation, repression, and mass mobilization on the streets that are counterproductive in realizing public comfort and tranquility.

7.
