Astaghfirullah, Over 900 Palestinians Injured As a result of Israeli atrocities

More than 900 Palestinians have been wounded by the Israeli forces' crackdown in the past 10 days at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. This data was released Palestinian Red Crescent.

Hospitals in Palestine are already overwhelmed to accommodate patients, worried about the continuing flood of injured and soul patients if tension continues to occur in the holy site complex in East Jerusalem.

According to the hospital, most of the wounded were caused by Israeli bullets. International human rights groups condemn the use of bullets by Israeli forces.

Muhamad Ismeal, 39, currently hospitalized at Al Maqassid Hospital in East Jerusalem, was allegedly shot by Israeli troops with a stun grenade on his head. It made him lose his memory.

"He is not disabled, but now look at him, he can not recognize anyone, it seems he lost his memory," said Muataz Ismeal, brother of the patient, to Al Jazeera on Monday (7/24/2017).

Suleiman Turukman, the doctor who handled Mohammed's case, said he was afraid of his patients' lives.

"His condition is serious, he almost died, now he's better, but confused and can not recognize his family because of trauma," he said.

Clashes between Palestinians and Israeli troops were triggered by the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israeli security forces after three armed attackers killed two Israeli police.

Israeli security forces opened the mosque complex two days later but by installing a metal detector at the entrance of the sacred site complex. The rule made clashes continue.
Palestinians see the move as an attempt by Israel to expand its control in the mosque-run Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.

On Sunday, Israel installed a new security camera in the same location. This action again triggered the anger of Palestinian Muslims.

Hussein Da'na, 76, a Palestinian, told Al Jazeera that he rejected the Israeli-installed camera for harming Palestinians further.

"This camera is made to identify the faces of people who are barred from entering the al-Aqsa Mosque," Da'na said.

"We pray every morning here and the police attack us, I intend to continue praying here until Israel removes all the new rules," he said.

The head of the Israeli Defense Agency for Civil Affairs of Palestine, Major General Yoav Mordechai, said that Israel is open to alternatives to reduce tensions.

"The only thing we want is to make sure no one can get in with the weapon again and do another attack," he said. "We are willing to review the metal detector alternatives as long as alternative solutions are available ensuring prevention of subsequent attacks."

However, the Mufti of Jerusalem Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, told Voice of Palestine that he demanded the full restoration of the old rules before the initial attack on the shrine.

Meanwhile, the main adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Majdi Khaldi, said that a series of diplomatic consultations with various Arab countries is being done to dampen tensions in Jerusalem. The countries consulted by the Palestinians include Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco and other Arab countries.
