[Breaking News] Government Block HTI Official Site

The government through the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kemenkominfo) blocked the official website of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). Blocking is a follow-up of the dissolution of mass organizations (mass organizations) them.

"Yeah (follow-up dissolution) (yesterday)," said Director General of Informatics Applications Kemenkominfo Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan when confirmed AFP, Sunday (23/7/2017).

When accessed, HTI's official website with address at hizbut-tahrir.or.id is not accessible. On the main page, there is a black and white frame with the words 'We Are Closed' with the address of the site below.

The government previously dissolved HTI through the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) number 2 of 2017 about the mass organizations. However, HTI did not accept the unilateral dissolution because it did not receive any warning.

However, on Friday (21/7) yesterday, Director of the Directorate General of Legal Administration Kemenkumham Daulat P Silitonga said the warning was not given because the government considers having pocketed enough evidence that HTI spread anti-Pancasila ideology.

"Because it has been contradictory to Pancasila.When the data has been collected, it can be immediately revoked without warning, which is intended to replace Pancasila.If you have entered the area, the ideology could be immediately revoked," said Daulat in the Gallery National, Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Central Jakarta, Friday (21/7).

Daulat explained in the AD / ART HTI listed Pancasila as an ideology. But in fact on the ground, many HTI activities and activities are in conflict with Pancasila.

"They deny the AR / ART themselves, and with the input from other relevant agencies, then these things are also a consideration of the revocation of HTI Legal Body Decree," said Daulat.

He mentioned there is a legal gap in Law No. 17 of 2013 about the mass organizations. Warnings given are not counted with a cumulative that is deemed to be abused by HTI.

Previously, HTI Spokesperson Ismail Yusanto said his side had never been warned and told about their activities that violated Pancasila. Ismail said he would hand over completely to HTI's legal counsel.

"We do not know because we have never been informed of the warning, but that is what we want to discuss, but we will surrender it completely to our legal counsel, HTI lawyer," Ismail said on Thursday (20/7).
